Our Story

Our journey started in 2010 when one passionate parent, Laura, became frustrated with finding a suitable bike for her child, Grace.  Then her daughter's physical therapist, Dr. Gena Henderson, told her about a national service organization [AMBUCS] who provides adaptive, therapeutic tricycles to children and veterans.Laura and  Dr. Henderson  teamed up with a few others with a passion for cycling and helping children. Together they  started a middle Tennessee chapter of AMBUCS with a focused mission of providing Amtrykes to children otherwise unable to ride a typical bike. Thus, the NashvegasTM Rollers Chapter was born. In 2013, we changed our name to Music City Trykes. In the fall of 2018 we surpassed the 500 Amtyrkes given mark.
