Despite the uncertain and unprecedented times we are living in, our dedication to our mission remains. In fact, in a time where children with disabilities are separated from access to in-person services they rely on for movement (therapies, school programs, community-based recreation etc) there are even fewer opportunities for supported mobility and active play.
Our Music City Trykes team continues to meet (virtually) and make plans to support our Wish List Fund as well as events and programs for our riders. This includes our ongoing photo/video scavenger hunt. The cancellation of our largest annual fundraiser, Tee Off for Trykes, will undoubtedly have an impact upon our ability to fund trykes and grant wishes, thus increasing our average wait time. Rest assured that our team continues to work on innovative ways to raise funds. Watch for more information coming soon!!!
Once stay-at-home orders are lifted and shipping from the national warehouse resumes, we will start making plans for our next build and give-away event. Our "new normal" will include policies and procedures informed by expert, medical recommendations, government regulations as well as our National AMBUCS board. We are committed to the health and safety of our riders and volunteers and this, above all else, will be our priority moving forward.
